How do I book a session?
Start by filling out the inquiry form on my Contact page. Once we discuss your session and confirm availability, you’ll receive a contract, questionnaire, and invoice. Your session is officially booked once your contract is signed and the required retainer has been paid.
Does submitting an inquiry reserve my date?
No. Submitting an inquiry does not reserve your date. Dates are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are only secured after the contract and retainer are completed.
Do you photograph surprise proposals?
Absolutely! Surprise proposals are one of my specialties. I can help with choosing a location, creating a plan, and coordinating details so everything feels natural. Additional location, setup, floral, vendor, or travel fees will always be discussed in advance.
Need your gallery sooner?
Rush editing may be available for an additional fee, depending on my current workload. Rush services must be approved and paid for in advance. Please contact me for availability and pricing.

Do you travel?
Yes! I’m based in Northern Michigan and regularly photograph sessions throughout the area. I’m also available for destination sessions and weddings. Travel fees may apply depending on the location or traveling by air/driving.
Can you help us choose a location?
Yes! I’m happy to recommend locations that fit your vision and the type of session you’re planning. Some locations may require a photography permit, admission charge, or location fee.
What should we wear?
Choose outfits that make you feel comfortable and confident. Coordinating colors usually photograph better than everyone wearing the exact same thing. Once you’re booked, I’m happy to help with outfit ideas and suggestions.
What happens if the weather is bad?
I closely monitor the weather leading up to outdoor sessions. If the conditions are unsafe or would prevent us from completing your session, we’ll arrange a new date. Weather-related cancellations are rescheduled rather than refunded.

How many images will we receive?
The number of images depends on the session or package you select. You’ll receive a collection of professionally hand-edited, high-resolution images through an online Pixieset gallery.
Will we receive the unedited or RAW images?
No. Unedited and RAW files are not delivered. The editing process is an important part of my work and ensures that every image you receive reflects the quality and style of ShaeMarie Photography.
When will we receive our photos?
Your expected turnaround time will be listed in your contract or package information. When applicable, sneak peeks are typically shared within 48–72 hours after your session.
Do we receive printing rights?
Yes! Your gallery includes personal printing rights. You may order professional-quality prints directly through your gallery or use another printing company. Copyright remains with ShaeMarie Photography.
